Blue Creek offers free string instrument instruction in the form of a school orchestra. Instruments include: violin, viola, cello, and string bass.
 
Students are responsible for providing their own instrument, books, and materials.  The school has a few instruments available for a nominal fee.  This is determined on a first come, first serve basis.
 
Beginning Orchestra includes students who have never played a string instrument before. This group meets Mondays and Tuesdays from 3:15 pm until 4:15 pm.
 
Intermediate Orchestra includes students who have played a string instrument before.  This group meets Thursdays and Fridays from 3:15 pm until 4:15 pm.
 
Students must keep up classwork in order to participate in this extra-curricular program.
 
This program runs the entire length of the school year.  There is no orchestra rehearsal when there is no school.
