Grading

Students are expected to follow the school rules of Blue Creek while they are in music. The music teacher will use classroom and school wide procedures for discipline when needed.

Each student has the opportunity to earn 4 participation points towards their grade every music class.

A student can earn 4 points by following the rules and participating in all the activities to the best of their ability.  A student may lose points if they are not following the rules or are not participating to the best of their ability or for refusal of participation.

If a student is absent from music class, he or she will receive 0 points for participation that day.  Students are expected to complete a make-up worksheet for every day they are absent from music, up to 3 worksheets.(Kidergarteners are exempt.)

In addition to 4 participation points, students in grades 4, 5 and 6 will also recieve grades for projects they complete and turn in.
